Explanation 用語の説明
benefitと聞くと名詞として「利益」、あるいは動詞として「利益になる」という意味で覚えている人も多いと思うが、ここでは失業手当や生活保護など、脆弱な立場にある人を対象とした給付等の制度、またはその金銭等を指す言葉として扱う。新型コロナウイルス感染拡大による失業給付は2020年に高所得国の52.2％で行われたが、低所得国ではわずか0.8％であった。
